The USDA has updated the Plant Hardiness Zone Maps.

Although the update is appreciated, I have found that micro climates make a big difference in Florida gardening. It is amazing what a little shade or protection from a freeze can allow a Florida gardener to achieve in their yards. The zone map is a guide, but don't be afraid to test the limits of your planting to the next zone if you have a plant you really want to try growing.
